Quick, cute finish

This piece is Bands of Love by Linda Barry. I took this class many years ago at a Stitching Festival here in Iowa. This went surprising quick as I got it done in just a couple of days. The verse in it reads, Let color from the needle flow, and with each band your love will grow.

Saturday work

I found this in my wip's the other day and decided to do this as my hardanger project. I will be working on this on Saturdays. I've gotten the kloster blocks done and I am working on the back stitches (faggots) in the inside of the diamonds, etc. The pattern is in "The Needleworker" magazine. It will be a very pretty table runner.

My past five days

I have been working on Elizabethan Treasurers by Linda Barry this past week. I managed to get the last hardanger band done. I start my third panel when I get back to it in my rotation.

Bullion Knot fun

I had just recently bought a couple of reference books and one had a lot of flowers in it. So......I decided yesterday to play with the bullion knots. I stitched up this little flower design and the cup and saucer I had from many years ago. Had a lot of fun and bullion knots are nothing to be scared about any more.

Hardanger pin cushion finish

I got this pin cushion done last night. This is a hardanger pin cushion that will be a birthday present for my friend Mary Ellen. She does needle work too and we do a lot of events and club meetings together. Her birthday is April 1 so, I got it done with some time to spare. I think I will work on my big hardanger piece until Monday and then go back to my rotation.,

Saturday finish

Finally a finish. I got this done and it's ready to be wrapped and given away in May. It's my first biscorne, one side is browns and oranges and the other is blues, greens and oranges.

Over the week

I have been working hard this past week to get these two projects done. The hardanger pin cushion has the woven bars in the center to do and then put it together. I have just started the borders on the biscornu and the beads are the last to do before I actually put this together. I am hoping to have both of these done by next week.

Fair Day

Well, I've stitched all afternoon on this so I think I will call it quites for this rotation. I've done five days on it and I've gotten quite a bit done.

Saturday Work

I worked on this yesterday. I have decided to give this pin cushion away to my friend Mary Ellen for her birthday. She's a great friend and we do a lot of stitching things together. Her birthday is on April 1, so I shouldn't have any trouble getting it done.

Weekend Project

I like to do some thing different on the weekend. This past weekend I worked on my Biscornu give away and this. This will be a hardanger pincushion. The pattern calls for bright red but, I'm not much for red so I changed the colors to blue.

I worked on my biscornu today. I've gotten the first side done and I am working on the back. It will have fall colors on the first side and spring colors on the back. This is a give away for my EGA chapter at the May banquet meeting.
