October Ornament

Here is the October Ornament from the Nordic Needle Christmas Ornament Club all done. I'm almost caught up with what has been sent. These are so much fun and so pretty and lacy when done. I'm hanging them in a large door way where they can move with the currents in the house. They look like wind chimes without the chime.

Christmas Pine Pocket

This is the Christmas Pine Pocket by Moss Creek Designs. I made this one for myself and I really think it came out pretty nice. I do think a smaller bow would have been better but, I had these premade ones and they were the ones I used. It was a lot of fun stitching and a little tough putting together but, all in all I like it. The back is below this entry.

Back of Winter Wood

This is the back of the ornament below. I thought it went really well with the front. When I think of Christmas I always think in red and green. I guess I should open my mind more often. I thought this came out very nice.

Winter Wood

This is my last give away ornament this year. This one will go to some one in my EGA at the Holiday Brunch. I made it into a flat fold although you can't see it. I got the material at JoAnn"s while I was waiting for something else. It's called winter wind and the name of the pattern is Winter Wood by Papillon Creations. Now I can get back to my last ornament for myself.

Christmas ornament

I've got all my Christmas ornaments done for every one now, it's my turn. This is my first and I have one more to go. The chart was in this year's Christmas Ornament issue from Just Cross Stitch. It was a very fun and quick stitch and it really is a very pretty bright ornament.

Christmas ornament giveaway

I've been making my needles smoke lately. I've got four more ornaments and another christmas project that I've been working on hard. This is the ornament that was in both of the Just Cross Stitch magazines. The center of this was in the Christmas ornament preview magazine and the bottom was in the Christmas Orniment Issue of this year. This ornament is like the monthly ornaments that are sent out by Nordic Needle. This one will be given away at my EGA Christmas Brunch

August Hardanger Ornament

Well, it's done. I finished it over the weekend and have already started on September's ornament. These ornaments are a little more time consuming then the cards were but, they sure are pretty when done.

Happy Owll - O- Ween

Such a fun project, this was so fun I couldn't put it down. It was suppose to be a scissor fob but, it came out a bit big for that. I decided to make it a door knob pull. Love that Halloween stuff

Leaves of Lace

I belong to a yahoo group where one of the owners is a designer. This was the design that was just finished. If you look close there is an owl in the middle of the tree and a rabbit to the left of the tree's roots. Each section is a different stitch and this is all your own colors. Such a lot of fun, I will frame it this week.

Cactus bloom

Thought every one could use another flower to brighten up their day. This is a cactus that my mother-in-law gave me. This is the second time it has bloomed, the first time it was much smaller and yellow. Talk about a change, wonder what it will be the next time. Hope every one enjoys

July Hardanger Christmas Ornament

Here is the first in a year of hardanger Christmas Ornaments through Nordic Needle. This is a wonderful club where they send you all the material and once a month they send you a new pattern. I know it doesn't show well but, this is actually two ornaments sewed together to make one. I could have left them as two but, decided they look a lot better together.

Stargazer Lily

I've been absent for awhile, been busy with summer things and my arthritis has been kicking up lately too. Haven't been doing a lot of stitching but, I thought you all would like to see a real beauty in my garden. This year she is out doing herself. Her colors are so rich and you can smell her sweet smell all over the back yard. Happy summer every one.

Two Chaterlaine Designs

I just joined a Chaterlain SAL and hopefully the gals will give me a much needed kick in the butt to get these two done. The top one in Convent Herbal Garden and the bottom is The King's Vegetable Garden. I've had these started for years and it's about time I get them done. Wish me luck.

Eva Owl Finished

Yesterday, it rained all day and was very cold and windy. I decided it was a perfect day to finish Eva Owl into a wall hanging. Here she is, all done. I was able to get some very pretty quilted fabric and the patterend fabric is reversible to the red. The light green is almost a celery and it matches the light green in the patterend fabric. All in all I am very happy with the way it came out mostly because I don't even remotely consider myself a seemstress (I say awful things to my sewing machine). I will put together the dowel rod and ends and hang it this weekend.

This is Eva and Eva is an owl in a contest that I have entered. JMD Designs made the owl pattern and whoever entered did the rest. I will be finishing her into a wall hanging with some very pretty quilt fabric that I found. Lots of fun and I thought she came out pretty good.

Summer Stitches by Jeannette Douglas

This is one that I got done earlier this month and just didn't get the time to post it. I have the box that is on the cover and Spring Stitches is in it at the moment. I am working on I believe the Fall Stitches and will try to get Winter in too. I would like to get some of my seasonal series done from various designers. I have way to many just sitting, need to get some done.

This design is by Lorri Birmingham. I did this one once before for my daughter. This came as a kit and I did the kit for her and I changed the material to white and the beads and ribbon to lavender for me.

Here is the inside of the needle case. This is the second one and last. They came out very pretty but, they are a lot of work.

Back of tuffet entry

This is the back of the entry for Victoria Samplers contes. I've made it into a little pocket, don't think I will every use it as such. It does make a great hanger on my kitchen cupboard knobs.

VS contest Hear Tuffet

I have finally finished my heart tuffet. This is my entry for Victoria Samplers contest to be judged in April. I decided to redo the dangley stuff so now it looks like a fushia blossom along with a beautiful crystal teardrop.
