I've been working on ATW 80 these past two weeks and I have made it through part 4. I am working hard to get caught up. The next two weeks I'm going back to Lavender & Lace's Fairy Grandmother.

I worked on Nordic Needle's Button Sampler this weekend. I have already ordered two of their hardanger clubs for next year. Thought it might be a good idea if I finished this year's clubs first. Here is my progress for the Button Sampler, I have all the parts and will be trying hard to get it done soon.

Progress on Fairy Grandmother

I haven't been posting much lately. Actually I've been doing a lot of stitching on other things. I have started a EGA GCC Dresden Garden and I've also started Home Sweet Home. I will be posting pictures of these as well when I have a little more to share. I will be getting my first cataract off tomorrow and the second will be on December 3. After this I should be stitching a whole lot more because I will be able to see better. So here is the progress I've made on Fair Grandmother.

I decided to do a couple of Christmas ornaments for myself this year. This one is a Victoria Sampler's design for Just Cross Stitch's Christmas ornament issue. I changed it slightly by adding the bangles at the bottom instead of the beads around the edge. It's a real cutie.

The past two weeks I've been working on Around The World in 80 Stitches by Papillon Creations. I've gotten part 2 done with four more to catch up. I've decided to go back to Fairy Grandmother for two weeks and get her wings done.

Saturday, September 15, 2012

I finally got the colors that I like and I got the first part done. I've got one more week on this project before I go back to Fairy Grandmother so I hope I can get the second part done.

Here is what I have been working on for the past two weeks. I have gotten Fairy Grandmother's sleeves, hands and bodice done. I will be going to another WIP for two weeks and then I will be back to her. I intend to finish her before I move on to another UFO. I have so many UFO's and WIP's that I have decided to do nothing but until I get them done.

Winnie

My daughter loves quirky and off the wall things, so I decided to stitch her this funny Halloween picture and I finished it as a flat fold so she could put it any where. What a fun project.

Monday, August 20, 2012

I finished the Christmas Ornie for our sister EGA chapter over in New Zeland. We exchange gifts about once a year. So much fun to see what others in another country are doing. This pattern was found in Just Cross Stitch's Christmas preview magazine. The designer was Roz Watnemo of Nordic Needle.

I haven't been doing much stitching these last three months, I've had lots of life going on. This is some thing I picked up in Branson, Missouri back in April when I went down for a retreat. The designer is Fern Ridge and since I am such a Halloween nut, I just had to have it. I just got it done, just in time to put it in another retreat's show and tell.

Shelley's Jewlery Box

I had this first side almost done until I discovered I was one thread off. Imagine my frustration when I had to take it out. This is a free SAL by Judy ODell and it will eventually become a jewlery box. I guess I have thrown my original rotation out and I am now working on free or almost free SAL's by Papillon -Creations and Judy ODell. I just love it when I find these SAL's for such a wonderful price : > )

Around the World in 80 Stitches

This is the begining of this year's SAL by Papillon -Creations. I've just started this one, it will take two years to complete all the installments. I just love her SAL's they do come out pretty.

Castles in the Air

This is one of the projects that I have been working on this past week. This was a SAL last year by Papillon Creations. I've seen it almost done and it is so pretty.

February Christmas Ornament

I am back from my retreat. The retreat was great and I had a lot of laughs with the gals I had not seen for a year. The shopping was great and as usual, bought more then I will ever get done. The weater went to pieces on the day we were going to drive home so, we decided to stay Sunday and come back on Monday. This is what I got done during the retreat, there is always so much going on, I'm surprised I get any thing done. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Updating this blog

I would like to thank every one for their thoughts, prayers and wonderful comments. I am still fighting the good fight with my knee and fibromyalgia and I do seem to be making some progress.

I am going to a wonderful retreat this coming Wednesday down in Branson, Missouri where Cecellia's Samplers is sponsoring this very fun event. I hope to make a lot of progress on several of my projects and will have some pictures to post.

I have been working hard on Judy Odell's jewelery box SAL that she has started and decided to break off of that and do some work on my rotation. I will be doing Papillion Creations SAL, 80 Stitches Around the World and will post pictures of that one too.

Hope every one has had a wonderful Easter. I will post pictures of my progress next weekend.

Button Sampler

Well, I didn't get as much stitching done as I had hoped. Pain meds and stitching just don't agree but, I am doing better and I am not taking hardly any pain meds now. I have some nerve problems in the back of my leg but, I am hoping this will go away. Thanks so much for all of you who wished me luck on my surgery, it was much appreciated. Any how, I got this Button Sampler from Nordic Needle up to date as well as The Great Excape below. Hopefully I can keep recovering without anymore problems.

The King's Vegetable Garden by Martina Weber

I was having trouble stitching on my other large Chaterlaine Mystery Sampler, Convent's Herbal Garden. So I got out this one and I am liking this one a lot more. I think this one will replace the Herbal Garden. I probably won't be doing much stitching for several days. I am getting a partial knee replacement tomorrow and I will probably have a lot of pain meds. in me for a few days. No sense in stitching when you have to redo every thing you've stitched. So, when I get something new in a couple of weeks I will post it.

The King's Vegetable Garden by Martina Weber

This is the little pool that I've been working on this week. My mind has not exactly been on stitching so I had to do some retro stitching. I should be able to get this one done before I move on to the next piece in my rotation.

Nordic Needle's Button Sampler

This is what I accomplished on the Button Sampler last weekend. All I have left is the filling stitches. I love all the extra ideas that Roz gives with the initial pattern. It sure got the creative juices flowing.

Gingerbread Tree Etui

The panel on the right is what I worked on this past week. I've had so many headaches and body aches plus getting ready for a partial knee replacement that I didn't get much done. The picture above is what I've done with all four sides so far. This pattern was designed by Victoria Sampler.

January Nordic Needle Ornament Club

I just got January's ornie done from Nordic Needle's Hardanger Ornament club. I should be able to get caught up by the end of the month. I really love these ornaments and I will have to find something special to do with them come this Christmas.

December Ornamnet - Nordic Needle

This is the bigger or bottom of the ornament for December. I am so sorry about the blurred picture. My digital camera died and we got a much cheaper one, I guess you get what you pay for. Any how I am now starting January with February to go. Due to some health issues I didn't get a lot of stitching done on my Christmas Tree Etui. I decided I will catch up with these orniaments and go back and do another week with the Etui by Victoria Samplers. There is a possibility of a knee replacement for me in the very near future so, I will be getting a lot of stitching done if this happens.

December Ornament - Nordic Needle

This is the top or smaller ornament for December. I decided again not to put the two together because it would knock out the greek cross in the bigger or bottom ornament.

Weekend Project

This cutie was a chart that was given to me by Aj"Feisty Kay" Brokaw last year. I wrote her and told her that i would get it done by next March. I found the most irish material I've ever seen and that is what I made the pillow with. It is really cute and I thank Aj so much for the pattern. This was my weekend project

Dreams of Atlantis

Here is the very begining of a Heaven and Earth design called Dreams of Atlantis. Doesn't look like much right now but, I really have fun watching it take shape. This will take awhile but, I really like the picture and I will enjoy doing it.
